“As a heavy car, Tesla Model Y needs a good brake system.” This is both true and false.  Unless you are travelling over 100km/h all the time, big brakes may not necessarily help as it simply  only increases unsprung weight. 

The Model Y firewall is worst than Japanese cars from 20 years ago.  They are thin with no support.  Every time you step onto the brake pedal, the brake booster on the firewall moves over 1cm before it actually pumps any brake fluid into the calipers. 

This leaves a huge lag in the initial reaction of the brake system.  In fact, customers often misunderstood this as brake failure.  To eliminate this problem, we have designed special mounts to prevent the brake booster from moving and gives Model Y owners a more linear braking experience.
